Visit Georgia

The Visitors Center is located in Athens, Georgia on the east side of the University of Georgia campus. With over 760 acres, the UGA campus can seem overwhelming; we’re happy to help you find your way here and around campus once you’ve arrived. If you have any questions about getting here or navigating campus, give us a call before you visit.

Airport

The closest airport to the University of Georgia is Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. The airport is approximately 75 miles from Athens; estimated travel time is 90 minutes depending on traffic conditions in Atlanta.

Parking

Free parking for information sessions and tours is available at the Visitors Center on a first-come, first-served basis or in the East Campus Parking Deck for a fee. There are pay-to-park decks across campus, as well as street and deck parking available in downtown Athens.

Campus Transit

The UGA Campus Transit is free for the UGA community and visitors. Bus routes are available on the Campus Transit website and the UGA Mobile App . The Athens Transit System also has stops throughout campus. These rides are free to students, but there is a small fee for visitors.
